Mediation Fees

Schedule a Mediation

Hourly Rate

$260.00 per hour, per party. This rate applies to all professional time, including preparation and mediation sessions. A minimum fee of six hours applies for full-day sessions, and a minimum of three hours applies for half-day sessions.

Travel Time

Travel time will be billed at 50% of the hourly rate for cases within Florida, and 100% of the hourly rate for cases convened outside of Florida. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, such as hotels, tolls, and third-party charges, will be billed equally to the parties.

Expense Division

Fees and expenses are divided equally among the parties unless otherwise agreed.

Payment Responsibility: The attorney or law firm representing a client is ultimately responsible for ensuring that their client’s portion of the fees is fully paid.

No Administrative Fees: There are no additional administrative or filing fees associated with mediation.

Rescheduled Mediation Cancellations: If the mediation is rescheduled and Mr. Wickline waives the cancellation fee, but it is subsequently canceled again or not rescheduled, the full fee will become due.

Cancellation Policy

No Fee for Cancellations Made More Than 7 Days in Advance.

Cancellations made more than seven (7) days before the scheduled mediation will not incur any cancellation fees. Written notice must be provided via email to will@wickline-law.com, and the cancellation will only be effective once confirmed in writing by Mr. Wickline.

50% Cancellation Fee for Cancellations Within 7 Days.

Cancellations within seven (7) days of the scheduled mediation will result in a fee of 50% of the reserved half-day or full-day rate. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons, court intervention, or events beyond the parties’ control, provided the mediation is rescheduled with Mr. Wickline.

Payment Terms

Due Date: Fees are due and payable within one week following the mediation. No advance payment is required.

Responsibility of Counsel: When a client is represented by counsel, Mr. Wickline ultimately looks to the attorney or law firm for payment.

Zoom and In-Person Mediations
While most mediations are conducted via Zoom, Mr. Wickline is also available for in-person sessions. Travel time for in-person mediations will be billed at 50% of the standard hourly rate, plus any reasonable out-of-pocket expenses.

Alternative Fee Arrangements
Mr. Wickline is open to proposals for alternative fee arrangements, including flat-fee structures, and is willing to discuss other tailored solutions to meet client needs. Please reach out directly at will@wickline-law.com to discuss your specific needs.
